I ordered the book, and I feel I have a good grasp of all the concepts of PR. I have PR a few books. I believe I've done everything the book has instructed. I state my purpose with the utmost sincerity. I think positive thoughts. I try in earnest to get into "the ideal state for reading," using the tangerine technique, I mentally do the 3-2-1 relax method that's supposed to get me into the accelerated learning mode, and I don't have any real problems flipping the page, I can see the blip down the middle of the book, and I maintain affirmative thoughts, chanting through each page (see the page,1-2, stay foc-used 3-4,Photoreading works - this is ea-sy...and so on) I feel like I'm doing things right. I've photoread the Photoreading book, and a few days ago I had a dream that I was photoreading the photoreading book and seeing blip on the page, but couldn't turn the pages fluidly, which happens in real life at times. Other than that, I haven't done a ton of follow up by doing activation, but one of the books I photoread, was a business text that I had already read months ago, so I figured that that alone should be activation enough. If someone were to ask me questions about the text, it's as though I haven't read it. All other books I've Photoread have not seemed to make an impression in my mind. According to some stories, some photoreaders can photoread and article or a book, and in 15 minutes or less, answer questions on the book. What can anyone suggest to someone like me who is driven to succeed, will try to photoread my text again tonite (as I have to study for an exam in a couple months) PLEASE ADVISE! Using all the techniques I'm supposed to, and always using the positive affirmations has not seemed to work. I'm trying not to doubt that PR works, but so far, I'm getting worried about the studying a bit. I really need people to give me some advice, I WANT/NEED THIS TO WORK!!

I can see why someone might think that. But don't confuse my enthusiasm with 'pressure'. I'm the person who will do what it takes to learn this system. When I follow instructions in earnest, I expect results. I just haven't seen anything tangible yet. I'm an intelligent individual, and it's admittedly hard at times to suspend my disbelief. I just seem to be missing 'one thing' that will help me see results. I DO feel relaxed and alert when I read, almost 'excited' with the possibilities that abound with this! Where are these links that you suggested??

Here is the link I suggested: http://www.learningstrategies.com/forum/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000585.html

Try reading other (older) posts on PR discussion board - you'll find plenty of useful info.

If you're lucky enough to live close to place where PR seminars are taking place and if you've got extra 200$ it would be wise to enroll into one. You get an expert to guide you and free coaching afterwards. The book has all the necessary info but real course is better.

My advice to you is: Look more for understanding/learning info (books, magazines, whatever) and less for 'results'. As long as you look for 'results' you're tense and not letting go. Have confidence in your subconscious mind and let it work. After PRing activate. Notice what you know and try to learn what you want/need. Then see how much time and effort it took you to do that. It should be considerably less than what it takes using 'traditional' methods.

Also try with 5-day plan. I didn't try it but others say it's great for building skill and confidence.

Well, I'm from Toronto, Canada. I would love to go to a seminar to get the real coaching I need. My purpose is always clear, and I really feel close to 'getting it'. Anyone know if there are any PR courses here in Toronto, Canada?
Thanks for the insight Jovo

Can you explain more about the 5 days method. B/C I have a problem similar to the one posted here, I'm a MD and a studied with the PR method for my boards, with very poor results. I first bought the PR book, later the personal learning course, took the seminar in Mexico with a local instructor, then the PR seminar with Paul Scheele, I have several (I mean several) of the paraliminal tapes that were recommended to me by Paul, used as directed, and the results for my boards were simply very dissapointing. I had to review my text the usual way in order to get enough information to pass the boards; you may ask yourself, how can you know you didn't have enough info.. to pass the boards with the PR system, I knew so, because I took some preparation exams and got into a questionare sesions with some of my fellow residents. Therfore I can tell you, the sentence "Don't beat yourself up; just let go" in such cases, it ain't easy. So, what can you tell me, instead I will give a bit of advice to someone who are in a position similar to mine, if you have something (like a board examination) do not rely only, (if you're not good enough) onto the PR system because pressure may kill you, and belive me there are several guys out there, that are willing to do almost anything to make PR works for them, but sometimes it just does´'t, so you may probably tell to the DF audience that unless you are very confident with waht you can do with the PR system, do not take any chances if for example you have to pass an importante examination. For my personal experience what you get after the semminar it's not enough, it will set you with the basic skills but will probably take you about a year to become really confident with the system (at least in my own experience), I still have VERY MUCH PROBLEMS with activation, so what would be your recomendations "Take another live seminar, with somebody else". Somehow I feel a little dissapointed with the system. I'll keep on trying because it may work.

Sixtos -

I don't mind criticism at all. That's one of the reason I spend time of the Forum.

I do not agree with your advice, expecially advice that might serve to place limitations on others.

Let me further address your comments about problems with activation. Chances are you are not fully activating the books. You got to be willing to activate feeling you are getting little from the book. At some point it will come together for you.

Take another class? Sure! In most cities it is free of charge for graduates.

Don't feel disappointed with the system. As a matter of fact, keep those type of feelings out of it. Use the four steps of Natural Brilliance and keep moving forward.
