I know this has probably been on here before but I'm really trying to get the hang of this b/c I'm trying to recover from past grades that weren't so good and also other things. Anyways...how exactly are you supposed to feel when you are in the Accelerated Learning State? When I usually feel I'm in it, I am easily distracted and when I attempt to photoread I am also easily distracted. I can't seem to diverge my eyes either and when I do, a few moments later they re-focus. I feel as though I'm forcing my eyes to stay diverged, but when I try and relax myself they focus again. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You.

hi there.

what u need 2 keep in mind r 3 things:
1.first u must stay relaxed..& u need 2 let go of the need of doing this correctly. this is one of the most potent points in this system. every 1 experience problems with the system as they begin..every baby fell when it tried 2 walk but in the end u walk like a king dont u?..
2. tangerine. check that u did it correctly, just let it naturally rest there. this grabs ur attention in a much more focused manner so u can read with less distractions.
3. affirmations. did u affirm urself? its very important 2 affirm urself & have a positive attitude toward the upcoming experience.
3. as 4 photofocus, in the begining u dont have 2 struggle with divergence, after u know that uve relaxed urself completely it is also adequate to notice the 4 corners of the page & imagine an X connecting them. the blip will come in time & its not a must. and u should know that there r many photoreaders who r using this skill today without never seing the blip.

oh 1 more thing. ever had the feeling that ur in total control yet calm, that u can do what ever you wish, that you can just hack through all the obstacles in the way? still ur totally in control, ur concetration is absolute & ur mind is swift & flows gently?
thats about what i feel when im in the state.

like you im still a beginner. i started using the system more seriously about amonth ago. the results r astonishing. i almost wanted 2 kill myself when i understood the ease which i can now do stuff in which took me exponental amounts of time in order 2 achieve the same goal. so just keep doing it,

hope i helped ya

Thanks for the motivation. All the positive talk by Paul on the tapes just doesn't match up when hearing it from a fellow beginner.

Simply wanted to reiterate the thanks - Reading progress from other users has been the best motivation and help to date. I just started the program because of the wealth of information I want to acquire to excel in my chosen field. I have reached the point where I can easily see the blip - am working at manipulating the size. When it is large I sometimes find that distracting. Activating is still a bit hard for me but, I know it is because I am trying to change a more entrenched habit. Progress is being made as I saw one of the pages in my sleep just before awakening. Talk about incentive and motivation to continue!! I would like to know if anyone found the seminar a necessary component or are a lot of you doing well with either the book alone or the home study course?

Hi,
I did it with just the book about a month ago and am activating books regularly without problem.
