I got the PR Personal Learning Course about a month ago, and when I started following it (got through the first 2 tapes) I found that I was having great difficulty focussing on the material; misinterpreting basic instructions, etc. I decided the time wasn't right so I put it down for a few weeks and am starting again.
I just tried the dictionary PR test (I skipped it the first time through because I wanted to use my initial enthusiasm to take me through any difficult material), and scored horribly! What is striking to me is that not only did I do a lousy job of guessing where the word might be, but in about half the cases I thought of a word that was not in the dictionary. Not sophisticated words mind you... just words like eggplant, crown, alligator, etc. It has occurred to me that my subconscious is actually avoiding words in the dictionary because of some latent anxiety I must have regarding PR.
I have a strong intuition about this method and it's value to me, and I'm sure I will work through this eventually, but I'm wondering if somebody with experience can offer suggestions to help deal with this anxiety that I'm only half aware of. This has been a humbling experience for me.. I am experienced in mind-body coordination, meditation, and control of consciousness (perhaps too experienced) so I was sure I could do this right off the bat.
Thanks
