Hiya, folks! Sadly, in his book, Paul Scheele never described how we could expand our vocabulary by photoreading a dictionary. But, fortunately, I can have some folks on this forum tell me how I could do so, so how do I do it?? I'd love to have the million-dollar vocabulary. Just so you'd know, I couldn't take advantage of the tapes. I'm profoundly hearing-impaired.

Oh,

To anwser your question. Activate the dictionary as you would any book, but more importantly, try to incorporate the words in everyday life as much as you can.

IE ... take 5 words from the dictionary and attempt to use them throughout the day ... once used ... they become a part of you.

As well, writting out using the words helps to ingrain them into you as well.

Good luck!

Here is how I've had good results activating the dictionary:

Think of an event from your past, such as a part of your high school or college graduation, a great vacation, etc. Write a brief story about it. Then, go into and activate your dictionary to find words you can add to or replace that fit in your story.

This way you experience the use of the new vocabulary. This works great for me.
