Thanks for the response. I would like to respond to your post later this weekend but right now I don't have the time I need. One last request - do you know of any good NLP sites that introduce the basics (otherwise I'll follow the FAQ you provided) - I would like to investigate this further. And in what way do you find NLP (the communication part) different from 'Cold Reading'.

By far the most documentation to be found on the web is the NLP Encyclopedia at www.nlpuniversitypress.com.

As for "cold reading," I'm not exactly sure what that means. My perception is that it means watching body language. If that is the case, NLP presupposes a knowledge of body language as a starting point.

Rather than go into a long dissertation, I'll let you decide for yourself. Look in the NLP Encyclopedia under "Eye Accessing Cues," "Predicates," "Communication," "Communication Matrix," and "Communication Strategies."

Since I don't understand the meaning you attribute to "cold reading," I'll let you tell me how you think NLP's communication model is different form "cold reading."
