That's not how I do it because I'd lose too much info (I wouldn't be able to see whole pages). Instead, I take whole bunch of pages and do what could be called "fan in slow motion". I usually turn two per sec, which allows me to see them completely. Plus, I often start somewhere in the middle of the book and flip on right side with right hand and on left side with left hand.

I prefer this method because it's much easier then turning pages in regular manner. It's also faster. Only one drawback - if you're having difficulty with maintaining photofocus it may be harder for you to keep it while photoflipping. At least that was true in my case. But you may not have any trouble at all. Try it, and please let us know about your experience.
