I just have a few doubts with my myself of whether I'm really photoreading or not. The biggest problem lies in the activating step. What is an open gaze? Do you mean the same thing as photoreading? And what's a hunch? Is it a sudden headache in the head, or floating words on the book? As what I'm doing now, I'd just dip into anything that I just happen to dip, but I seem to be dipping into something useless and most of the time I just read a couple of words and then start going again, it turnt out that I didn't even know what the passage I had just dipped was about.

And for the photoreading stage, it seeems to be really easy seeing the blip page, but that is maybe only because I have a 'lazy eye', which when I start to focus on a thing, my left eye would just diverge away unconsiously. I'm not sure whether it's ok to photoread like that as the words don't appear to blur and I can even distinguish a word or two out.
