Absolutely, you can learn PhRing from the book. Raanan's info is very helpful. Asking very clear & specific questions will also help you tackle any and all problems you encounter.

I am teaching my nephew how to PhR even w/o having him read the book. He has the book but i don't think he can implement it because he's never mentioned reading the book.

I decided to just show him the technique. That's all. I helped him learn how to turn the pages smoothly. I think that's pretty important for a number of reasons. I helped him get the blip page, which he did right away. I also taught him to breathe deeply & in a relaxed manner. For me, slow, deep & relaxed breathing enabled me to retain the blip page while turning pages.

I told him to get the technique down using books that were easy to turn pages as well as easy to keep the blip page. Not all books are easy to turn pages; not all books are easy to see the blip page. Having the ideal books for learning the technique is really helpful; it also builds confidence.

In essence i told him that i was teaching him step 4 and that we'd learn the previous steps in time. It takes the pressure off to actually grasp the material.

I'm sharing this b/c i actually think it's a pretty decent way to approach PhRing from the book-only method. Just get the technique down where it's easy to smoothly turn pages & also to retain the blip page. I also told him to just keep turning pages smoothly at a page a second even if he couldn't keep the blip page. That's where deep steady breathing will help you out. In time, the smooth page turning---the blip page--and relaxing will all jell. Nice relaxing music can also help. Baroque.

Good Luck, because this is a tremendous asset for successful living. It is the most powerful tool i've ever experienced.

Forgot to mention this:
Lighting is important. Try different types of lighting to see where it's the best for you. I have found certain types of lighting to be easier on my eyes & therefore easier to hold the blip page.

Now, after 4 yrs. of PhRing, i can PhR anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances. But it took time & practice. Any thing worthwhile is worth practicing. I also took breaks from leaning it in order to let the process incubate. I did it in layers.

I would suggest you purchase these 2 paraliminal tapes & use them to help you integrate what you are learning:

Personal Genius = for the goals of every aspect in the book.

Memory Supercharger which i still use regularly.

Still reading through the book.

When you say that you have PR a couple of books, does that mean that you have done all the steps.... preveiw, trigger words... even the post veiw?

I'm still trying to understand all that I know or don't know about the system.

Keep me posted.
