Just wondering if anyone has experience with eye patching.

There is a gentleman on the web who claims a 30 day practice of eye patching will greatly improve reading comprehension and retention by building up your corpus callosum (the part of the brain that joins the hemispheres and that is responsible for connecting words to meanings).

His basic process is to read for 5 minutes with one eye patched but both eyes open. Pay attention to how you're feeling while reading with this eye covered.

Repeat with the other eye covered. Same process for 5 minutes.

Repeat with both eyes covered (just kidding). Repeat with both eyes uncovered.

Continue cycling through these three options for at least 30 minutes/day. Do this process every day for 30 days.

He also tells you to pay careful attention to any images that arise while you're reading. Stop and check them against the material you're reading. Often times you'll find your brain "filling in gaps" in the narrative (kind of like fleshing out the descriptions in the text).

Any thoughts on whether or not this would improve the PR process? It may be that Brain Gym is just as effective in building the corpus callosum but I thought I would ask.
