I've read some posts on this forum that suggest that reading beyond the book can also mean noticing the four corners, the white space but also the things around the book. Is this true? I always thought that it only meant looking through the book as in having a x-ray vision (you imagine looking through the book).
I have another question that I really need an answer for. When I'm supposed to have a soft gaze am I supposed to squint? Or should I drop my eyelids a bit so text is blurred. Or is it simply just de-focusing your eyes? I know this question is "weird" but this whole photoreading step is so outlandish.

Alex I read your advice about starting with Magic eye pictures and developing parallel vision, I'm going to try that out. I'll print 12 Magic eye pictures and learn parellel vision (divergent gaze) and then implement that technique when I photoread (photofocus). Do you still recommend doing this?
