I've read this forum since last few weeks regarding PR and ordered a book (seems challenging and interesting new technique). I decided to give a try....
Since day 1 i read this forum, i've been trying to follow the PR steps without the PR book as a guidence. My question is....Is it possible to grab this learning skills without PR book ? Since i'm using the unproper technique, i noticed that my reading skills not improve (yet)but my programming skills (i'm a computer programmer) improved. I'm sure looking forward to read this PR book.
Any comments...anyone ?

I can empathize. I'm waiting for my delivery too. One week is understandable, but.... come-on.

I've done a lot of reading of this forum. Searching for information and inspiration, but it's hard to keep the energy level high for a long time. I'm still interested, but the excitement level is waning. In fact I suspect my package will not arrive until after I'm out of town. Even if it comes before I leave, I won't have a chance to use it until I get back. There goes my plans for doing the course in the first weekend. I plan on doing it several times, but that first big immersion is will become a sponge bath. Grrrr.

Pete or Dana,
Is it necessary to see both pages in split second ? It takes about 2 or 3 secs for me to turn the pages. Does the split second register more input in our brain than more than 1 secs ? Whats the effect ?
Thank you

Azni,

Your level of enthusiasm reminds me of the first day I received my PR material ... your goal or outcome regarding the use of PR will carry that enthusiasm into the future!

The book, home study of even attending a live seminar are the way to go ... think of this forum as a compliment to the above three methods.

Regarding page turning, I personally find 2 seconds to work best for me ... do what works best for you and above all, feels natural and comfortable.

Welcome!

It only takes a fraction of a second for you to absorb all the printed text at a glance. As soon as you see all the printed text on both pages as one "chunk" then flip.

It's difficult to do the PhotoReading step incorrectly. As long as you aren't putting hard focus on any word or paragraph, you'll be fine.

Pete or Dana,
Thanks a lot for your advice. i've had my first PR activation during my exam in 'Profesional Ethique'last week. I've answered all the questions (essays)...without any doubts although i'm quite nervous before the exam starts(starts revising/PR the material 2 days before exam).I only realized it after I'm done (thinking to my self...did i answers all these questions just now? ). I'm beginning to feel confident with PR just to have fun using it for my next semester.

p/s : i'm taking maths next semeter...any advice ?

Ahhh...after a long wait...finaly i've got the PR book.
Yesterday, i've mindmap my text book about 'Strategic Planning & Information System' and separate the table of contents into 3 sections. Can i use mindmap before/after i PR the book ?
Can i activate using mindmap ?
