The tapes describes the most efficient way to turn pages, the way the librarian told us in the past. I just cannot picture it. Is there a website link that shows a picture of it? Just cannot grasp how the left hand is situated with the thumb and the index finger. Seems I am grabbing the moving page (from my right hand) with my both my left index and left thumb. Just confused, if I can PR at the advertised rates, my bottleneck would be how I turn the page, and I have been pretty clumsy.

Grab the page with your left thumb, and then hold it down with your left finger. The book has to be propped up pretty well in order to do this. My problem is that the pages stick together. I don't know what to do about that except to turn a group of them at once - at least that is what the book suggests. Good luck.

I'm with dssss27 -- I kept wishing there was a photo somewhere, because I just can't picture it. Your response helps, jstew, but 1 more (hopefully not too dumb!)question: Are you turning the bottom outside edge of the page? Otherwise, I still can't quite get it.

As I remember, the description that I read says you run your right index finger up to the top right corner of the page, then move the page over to the left where your left thumb takes it and feeds it to your left index finger (which is holding down the left side of the book). Finally both left thumb and index finger are holding the left side of the book, and your right index finger swings back up to the upper right corner for the next page. Hope this clarifies the method.

I would suggest watching the infomercial if you can. It's usually on early in the morning on TLC or Comedy Central, at least that's the extent of what I have seen.

Pete himself demonstrates the photoreading technique on a book during the infomercial, so watch him closely if you really want to get it right. I don't think Paul saw fit to make a VHS simply for the demonstration of turning a page properly, but maybe he could make a short visual aid and post it online.

Paul describes it in the home-study course which I just started, so it must be on the first few tapes.
I try to describe it as I understand it:
Left hand: hold the book with three fingers on the cover (thumb and index-finger on the 'inside' of the book).
Right hand: Put the index-finger on the top of the right page at the center of the book, if you move your index-finger to the outside (to the right) of the book, apply a little pressure on the page, the page will kind of curl-up and your index-finger will slide easily behind it, now you can turn the page.
As the page reaches the left-hand side, lift your thumb to 'catch' it, press it down on your index-finger and place your index-finger on top of the page.
When you check the movement of your thumb and index-finger, it's like they're walking (just as Paul describes it).

I think I got it reading the posts and looking at the cartoon at the website. I don't think this warrants a video, just maybe 3-5 small pictures in his workbook would help visualize it.
