How is the brain wave generator working for you?

It’s the best thing since un-sliced bread! (I prefer to slice my own bread) ...and its free.

Can you recommend any presets or supply some of your own that will help w/the deep sleep?

If you are just beginning with Delta Meditation, it might be best to hold off on the paraliminals and spend the first 30 minutes going from say…15 hz to 4 hz. Once at 4, hold for the next 30 minutes. I’d do this until I got used to the experience. Begin with a higher carrier frequency.

Once you get used to it, you can lower the carrier frequency and the hz. Then you could shorten the time for the induction. Finally, once it is second nature, you could add the MegaParaliminal session.

How long have you been doing the sleep reduction studies and have there been noticeable side effects?

I’ve been tinkering for at least a year now. Thriving off of 6 hours of sleep is not a problem, and, indeed, is rather easy. It’s when you go below that, in my experience, that things begin to get sticky.

I do have to say one thing about health, this would NOT be possible if I did not eat a high alkaline diet. One of the reasons why our bodies need so much sleep is because we eat so much acid producing food like meat, dairy, sugar, etc. By merely reducing your intake of high acid food and replacing it with MANY more vegetables, you will automatically notice a decline in sleep requirement.

If you are horrendous with diet and exercise… then you almost certainly get sick within a week of reduced sleep as the acid and toxins that you input from food build up.

Can recording the generator sessions be a possibility so they can be added to WA playlist? Or are the beats randomized?

The way I have set it up, I have four small files, two of which I put on repeat. It would be possible to make just one large file or one tape that is 1.10 hours long and put the binaural beats in the background with .wav recording software. But this would not leave room for experimentation—the session would be hardened in stone—you wouldn’t be able to tinker with it! --which is half the fun.

What you say sounds fascinating, but 2 hours of delta????

I originally got the idea from Anna Wise's book, The High Performance Mind. I find that a one hour meditation is completely rejuvenating... but only for a time. To paraphrase Mr. Shakespeare: When tiredness comes, it comes not single-handed, but in battalions.

If I wanted 4 hours sleep and 1 hour med...well, I do not think I would be able to keep this up for more than a day or two. What I want is a permanent habit…

Why do you feel the need for light AND sound entrainment? If you're entrained, there really isn't much need to convince yourself of it again!!!

Honestly, I don't think that I'd know how to reach 3hz and lower on my own. If I tried, I probably wouldn’t be able to go past traditional meditation levels of around 7hz or I’d probably fall asleep.

Also, for me, I find that entrainment is absolutely necessary in order to maintain that deep state with all of the paraliminal voices talking in my ears.

Has anyone tried practicing QiGong with mind machines? I know LS cautions against combining meditation, but mind machines are discipline nuetral.

I have never tried straight QiGong, but I used to be heavily into Tai Chi. Are you familiar with the method of "putting on heads" that Win Wenger describes in the Einstein Factor? Basically, have a visualization session where you meet an expert in your field and then rip his head off and put it on yours--you spend some time seeing the world as he would see it and thinking as he would think, etc.

Occasionally, I would try this with the legendary founder of my Tai Chi lineage. My limbs would feel like dead weight, most of my energy stops would open, and movements would flow without thought. This is a great way to advance in such disciplines by completely bypassing your limiting beliefs—by simply HAVING FAITH.

Perhaps you might try this with the Master that Paul Scheele hired for Spring Forest?
