I just have to say one more thing about something that bothers me a bit about a couple posts here on the board.

I see people saying things like "Don't ever expect to be as fast as Paul" or "Only 3 times as fast as you could normally read is what is promised, and that is what you should expect".

I have seen that you, Blk, don't have the problem with believing in yourself that some people here have, but I'm reminded of a story someone told me.

Roger Banister was the first man to ever break the 4-minute mile. Going back hundreds of years nobody had ever touched this mark before. People ran the mile professionally, practicing as hard as they could, running the race every day, but nobody could run it in 4-minutes. It was thought of as "impossible".

The difference with Roger was that he BELIEVED he could do it. And after he ran the mile in under 4 minutes, THIRTY-THREE other people did it in the next 30 days, and OVER THREE-HUNDRED people did it in the next year. We all know evolution doesn't work THAT fast, those people didn't magically become faster in the next 30 days. All those people were capable of doing it the year before, but their belief system held them back. It took Roger doing it for their minds to click and say "Hey! I can do this too!" Not to sound like the little engine that could, but if you don't THINK you CAN, then you NEVER will.

A lot of people here do have the right mindset about learning, that the BELIEF is more important than many of the individual processes alone. But just to the others, that think Paul is a god or that they will never even get close to him, just think of him as Roger Banister. Whatever you think you deserve, your other than concious mind will work 24 hours/day to find a way to give to you. If you don't believe you will ever be faster than 3 times your normal speed, then you certainly won't be.

So set your goal as high as you want to go, and your other than concious mind will take you there as fast as it knows how. Just believe.

It may take years of practice, just like it did for Paul, don't expect it to happen overnight by any means. But he has laid it all out for us, where he had to go through the process without a map!

HE GAVE US HIS MAP! Thanks Paul!

I'm sorry if this post didn't help anyone with the process itself, I just thought some people could use a little inspiration and that story really resonated deep within me.

Over and out,
Brandon
