You build comprehension of the material in layers, as well as learning the material faster and retaining it easier and longer. And you will spend about 2/3s the time or less with the books as somebody using regular studying techniques. With highly technical material, it's not as focused on getting through it faster as much as making sure that the knowledge is securely retained - and readily understood. And don't forget layered comprehension!!
