Okay fellow PR's I got the self-study course, tapes, and book.

Looking at the Stereogram on page 42 of the self-study book. Method 1 looking at dots does not work for me. Method 2 holding page close to eyes then slowly moving away works. Cool the 3D depth is awesome. I can also make it work by holding book and looking at something below the book in far-away distance.

I can also get the cocktail weinie described on Page 46 of the book by focusing on distance object. For me I have my fingers together and see it instantly. When I slowly move my finger aways there appears to be a floating weinie between my fingers. If I move my fingers I can make the weinie appear to dance. Awesome.

Using the same technique of focusing on distanct object I can see the blip page also. My problem is once I start to try to bring my gaze to the center of page the pages merge back together and the blip page disappears. So my question is can I continue or do I need to practice this more so that the blip page doesn't disappear?

Must I be looking at center of page or can I still focus my gaze on distant object just above book and try to photoread?

I guess my real question is does photofocus require you to be gazing at center of page?
I see the blip page almost instaneously when gazing at distant object. All of the book is still in my peripheral vision. Can I continue or do I need to have blip page while gazing at center of page?

Practice, yes. It gets easier and easier to do as you PhotoRead more books.

It is best to have your focal point in the center of the crease, and your awareness on the outside white margins. This makes it easy to see all the printed text on both pages with a "soft gaze." Also, imagining a transparent X running from corner to corner turns on more of your right brain.

Dana, are you saying that we should be focused on the center of the crease with our awareness on the whitespace in the margins? What happened to focusing about a foot in back of the crease? I thought that I understood photofocus, but now I'm wondering again!

I started reading this board yesterday. And saw the blip page quite easilly. The funny thing is I recognised it having seen it hundreds of times in the past, watching it with interest. Now I know what it is I aim to put it to good use. Thanks guys, now I know it's not an hallucination.

You can use either method. If you are struggling while focusing in the center of the blip, try putting your hard focus beyond the top edge on a few books while flipping, and give a soft-gaze for the open pages in your peripheral vision. This will build up strength in how you are using your eye muscles in a new way. Then, you can bring your focal point down to the center of the blip while flipping. Remember to use the transparent X from corner to corner to turn on your right brain.

It's difficult to do the PhotoReading step incorrectly.
