I am new to the photoreading process. When I was looking through the archives, I could not help from noticing this post because it is exactly what is happening to me:
As i said i can do the preview and photoreading parts fine and i feel im doing them well but when it comes to the activation stage im a bit lost...
I find im getting nothing from the activation process and i seem to be falling into the "conventional" way of reading all the time....
How do i know where i should be super reading and dipping ? Ive tried relaxing and seeing what "Grabs" my attention but I cant seem to find any and end up flicking through the whole book without any purpose.
The moderater responded that the most important things was to have a purpose. Currently, I am reading a book called The Worldy Philosophers. My purpose is to learn about the different philosophers that shaped history, and I want to pick up a some details from this book. Is this enough of a purpose, or should I create a new purpose for each chapter?
The first activation session that I have, should I super read and dip the whole book or will that naturaly not be enough time (for a book that would normally take 10hrs to read)?
When I am super reading, I find myself stoping at random places that don't seem to have any significance. Is it that I don't have a strong enough of a purpose? Also, when you stop to dip, how long should you dip?
