If you see this topic twice,,, i'am sorry, because, yesterday i posted and today i did not saw it published, so here it goes again:

I want to know whats the thing/importance to do the ''chant'' while photoreading (Re-Lax)
Can i just sing a song in my head???

The idea is, your concious mind is so busy flipping pages, chanting, and making sure to keep the page so you can't hard-focus on the text. Helps you to absorb the entire page into your subconcious.

For the most part, "I don't chant". It makes me nervous and tense. Instead, I photoread starting out with the book upside down. I focus my concious mind on my breathing to make sure that it is smooth and even and the task at hand, turning the pages.

Remember, once you've learned the photoreading step and are comfortable with it, remember what Paul stated: NOPS. Play with the system. find out what works and what does not work for you but have "FUN" with it. Nothing is written in concrete.

I tend to create an internal 'hum' rather than chanting. I find it easier and more comfortable. Purely subjective.
