Hey, I just did a search on this DF to see if there were any other Christian Photoreaders out there. And I was as pleased as punch to read about all the Christians wanting to PhR their Bibles!

Way back in March, HiddenElephant posted a message querying the possibility of occultic influences with PhR. I too was worried about this. But then I realised that God created me with subconscious mind as much as with a concious one and all of it belongs to Him. And if thus far I have only been using the conscious 10% to understand, know and love Him then I am not really being a "good and faithful servant" who invests 100% into God and His work. I want to be "transformed by the renewing of my Whole Mind" not just the conscious bit!!

I would be interested in hearing back from all those people who talked about their plans for PhR the Bible earlier this year. What were your results? Any wild and wonderful success stories?

At the moment I don't have any major plans to PhR the Bible in a structured and purpose-driven way. In the past week I have been doing the photoreading step only. And I have felt deliciously well fed. I like to think that my Whole Mind (esp. the 90% subconscious bit) is just constantly chewing on the 'bread' that is the Word and is gaining immense nourishment from it, is growing around it and is being constantly renewed and transformed by it.

That was one of my questions earlier. I asked if PR was good to do on DEEP philisophical books or the bible or if I should just slow read those types of books. I do PR the bible here and there but I don't do any other steps other than slow read. I'm PRing different bibles too. Some of the things in the bible have to be really thought out - Take "my fathers house has many mansions" as an example. That on the surface level means one thing and on the inner/personal level means ALOT more. What is my subconscious going to do with something like that IF I just Photoread? If it's going to take it the wrong way then I'd rather slow read it. At this point I just don't know.

In sunday school my youth minister has been going over spiritual disciplines. You have reading your Bible, then you have Studying it. These are two different concepts. Like some of the letters paul wrote, if your friend wrote you a letter, you just don't turn to page 5 or 21 and study it, you read it first all the way through, then you would study it if need be. Photoreading I believe would create a better understanding of our study of the Bible though photoreading. Both reading and studying are important for Christians, but Photoreading could take the place of reading, not studying however.

I have recently begun PhotoReading (in the past 2 weeks) and have been incredibly excited about it... and about PhotoReading my Bible.

Four nights ago, before going to bed, I PR the book of Proverbs, and my affirmation was really a prayer for widsom and revalation from the Living Word of God relating to a specific issue in my life (won't go into details).

Yesterday, I went to a prayer and fasting retreat center here in Colorado (Praise Mountain) and spent the morning praying, seeking God about this issue in my life. I decided (I believe it was a prompting from the Holy Spirit) to activate what I had read a few nights earlier.

My questions were specific. I wanted verses from Proverbs relating to money and relationships. I super read and dipped and just quickly wrote down the reference and kept going. After I was done (about 2 minutes and 57 verses later), I went back and normally read those verses. EACH were specifically related to either money or relationships, so I split them up into categories and I started to Mind Map what I had gathered relating to wisdom in fincances. As I began to do that, my focus fell on a particular verse (which really related to BOTH money and relationships, the only one that I wrote down that did) revalation came, and I received the answer I was looking for! God is awsome!

I hope this encourages more of you to PhotoRead your Bible.

After that, I PhotoRead the entire New Testament, seeking to come to a DEEPER KNOWING (BEYOND a conscious head-knowledge "understanding") of Jesus, the Anointed One of God, in my life.

I think PRing the Bible is a good thing. Then you can spend the rest of your life activating different parts of it.

Multiple previews of different parts of it are extremely helpful in crossreferencing scriptures, especially if you have a good concordance with you to help locate scriptures with keywords.

Prayer and meditation are the best Activation methods available. As well, prayer is the purpose you'd use to preview your Word and skim/dip the chapters to see what you need.

I find that once you have a good grasp of the Word, you don't even need to skim and dip. You open the Word up and the exact scripture is staring you right in the face.

Anything that helps you get deeper into the Word is a good thing.
