I think I will spend some time in the coming weeks researching just what is out there in terms of graduate school and potential occupation. My impression is that there is a dearth of opportunity in this area.

Totally! School is such a chore. Especially considering we forget 95% of what we learn after 6 months of graduating (according to Rex Steven Sikes.) University folks are still operating within an educational framework that is hundreds of years old. It's like the difference between Freud and Bandler. It's annoying. I think someone needs to shake them up a bit. They could learn a lot about learning from people like Scheele, Wenger, and especially from the Zen learning mindset.

It is no problem, and indeed, is a joy to spend 10 hours straight reading or writing about altered states of consciousness or philosophy or peak performance, etc. Whereas, it takes all the willpower I can muster to do 1 measily hour of 'schoolwork'.

You know, that kind of reminds of Paul Scheele's voice on the Photoreading Personal Learning Course... On the last cassette, I think, he mentions how he feels when he walks into a library. In the most maniacal voice he says something like, 'I feel like a kid in a candy store, I walk in and see the collected knowledge of mankind and think... IT'S ALL MINE!!!! MUHUHAHAHAHAHA" Okay, so I added the laugther It's that kind of megaolomaniac attitude--to be absolutely driven toward something--that in my mind, makes life worth living. GANUS!
