Like many of the posts I've seen in this forum I'm a beginner. Although difficult to belive that such a feat can be achieved, the possibilites are incredible and luring enough to make me believe. I have a question though.
I'm wondering if I have the photofocus state right...how can I know? I can see the blip page and imagine the x through the book, is this all? I can see all of the text. I just want to know for sure.

Hi RyanAnthony,

I am also a beginner and feel your pain. I actually have the same question. Can you maintain the blip page during your photoreading or does it disappear after you start?

I can keep the blip page, it's not too difficult. At first it was hard, but all I try to do is concentrate on those two blip page edges and it won't go away. Maybe that is my problem?

I don't look for a blip, nor do I see the X, I have adapted the photofocus to my likings. What I do is use a soft gaze near the middle of the page sometimes shifting up or down and I make myself consciously aware of all 4 corners, its much easier not to do it with the X, just look at the 4 corners. I am still practicing at this technique, but it works for me.

If you lose the blip, continue flipping and give your awareness to the outside white margins and the 4-3-2-1 chant. You'll find you will be able to hold the blip longer and longer til you can hold it as long as you want. And, the words gain clarity with each PhotoRead you do. Imagining the "X" turns on more connections between the left and right hemisphere.

Hope this helps!
