1. This is definitely sufficient to benifit from the photoreading step. Your level of proficiency will increase the more you do, and train your mind.

2. You don't need to master it to do it, you need to do it to master it.

3. There are several techniques for entering photofocus. You don't need to use them all, you can try them, and use whatever works for you. The tangerine technique you only use before you start photoreading and you don't think of it again after. You can try to see the four corners of the book, imagine an 'x' connecting the corners of the book, see a blip page, chant, and you can combine these, but you don't need to do them all.

Pete once suggested you photoread 10 books a day and activate only one to burn in the process in your mind. Don't worry about mastery yet, play with it, find what you like, what works for you.
