Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer photo reading course on CD?

If someone could make mp3s of the tapes that would be much easier. That way if you have an mp3 player or cd player you can listen to it on the go. Just a suggestion.

I have tapes 1, 2 and 3 on CD right now, haven't got around to MP3ing them, but that shouldn't take more 10 mins. I think my uncle put them in wav format, because one tape fills an entire CD, I haven't checked yet.

I'm planning on breaking up the tape on MP3's as well, so if anyone wants some copies, just say so and I'll e-mail it to you...but I don't want Learning Strategies to lose money, so I'm going to ask you very specific questions that are only on the tape...they'll be something along the lines of, "What is the fourth word that Scheele says after the second playing of theme music on Tape 4 side B?" This way I know you have the tapes, just want a covenient MP3.

I won't do it, however, if Pete or anyone from LSC says not too, as I know MP3's are relatively easy to transfer illegally. If no one has any problems, though, just tell me and I'll send them to you as soon as I transfer it. (Lugging this huge box with me is becoming a pain). :P

i'm brand new to pr. Just got the course today. I'm converting the tapes to mp3 as/just before i listen to the tape. Can these be sent to other people that own the cassetes, with proof. If we can, I will help get them to people who own the tapes. These mp3's can easily put to cd's.

I own the system, however, I do not have a way to convert them to mp3s. If someone can send them to me that would be excellent. Reply here if you can and then I will give you my email address.

I have created a ftp login that you can download the mp3's. I currently only have tape 1 done as of now, but i will add the rest soon. If you are interested, which by the content of this string of messages email me at rdickens@mmcable.com use PHOTOREADING as the subject. I will then reply with a question about the course. ie on page 35 of the course book what is the first line of the third paragraph. Or something like this, IF ANYONE FROM LEARNING STRATAGIES EMAILS ME AND ASKS TO STOP I WILL.

rex_dickens It is nice to convert to .MP3,...but that will hurt the company alot...they will spread the course and/or misuse it! Even though you give the MP3 to someone who paied for the course...but what can keep him to give it to his best friend and/or relatives and so on?

btw, how my KHz you MP3s are ? (i mean after converting them from tape to mp3)

48kbps 22khz, this is plenty for just speach. I am hopeing the people that get them won't give them to others. E mail me at rdickens@mmcable.com to get access to the ftp.

I am offering the tapes in 2 ways
1)broke up, ie tape 1a background.mp3, tape 1a rules, etc.
2)continous tape sides ie total tape 1a.mp3
file size is quite small
1 min = about 600k
tape 1A = 11.2mb for 33 min

MP3's are OK, but there's better audio format now - WMA (Windows Media Audio, I think, v.8). Audio in this format takes up half the space of original MP3 and the qualityt stays the same. This is quite useful for solving disk storage problems as well as download/upload.

I think there are many programs which convert MP3's to WMA's, but I can recomend AudioSlimmer.

I've also heard there is new format of MP3, called MP4. It's supposed to have same caracteristics as WMA.
