You are correct. It is because you can actually remember, and recall what you photoread. After college you are lucky to remember 5% of what you learned, or so the statistics say. Plus, photoreading is a new kind of thing, and is going to give me great advantages as I complete my degrees. 
Graduate schools are great, but that is still a couple of years away for me.
