Has anyone else noticed the subtle way this forum has changed in the last couple weeks to become more and more negative?

I think it might be because of people like me that don't have the course yet and just have the book. I've had enough "strange coincidences" to know that the other-than-conscious learning does work but it's all stimulus response type knowledge. I need questions to bring out the knowledge. I have not got to the point to where I can PR faster (with understanding) than normal speedreading - as COOL has pointed out earlier. I mean, if I PR "the lord of the flies" looking for psychological lessons about man's inner animal, I may get small intuitions that tell me to stop on certain pages but I'll not know that Piggy died.

That's the level I'm on now and it's frustrating. We're not negative, we're stuck.

Yes, learning to PhotoRead with the "how-to" book" can be a real challenge, especially with people who are not aware of their personal learning styles.

The best way I know of for integrating the PhotoReading process and getting results is to first focus on mastering the basics.

Work all 5 steps of PhotoReading on at least 3-5 books you want to read but have not read yet. And remember, step 4 activation builds comprehension from whole-to-parts. Structure first, details second. If you didn't get everything you want in the first, second, or third activation session, keep on activating. Go for the gel!

If you have a book that would require 10 hours to fully comprehend by reading it regular, a beginning PhotoReader will spend 3 hours or less, and get the same if not better comprehension and improved retention. Now, here's another tip. The PhotoReader may spend up to 2 hours and 59 minutes and feel like he's not getting anything, before all the sudden, it gels.

This should help!
