Are there any advantages to just photoreading a book (dictionary, encyclopedia, etc) without activation or previewing? If I want to increase my vocabulary, will photoreading dictionaries help? Do I have to activate them manually? What if I wanted to increase my general knowledge? Would PRing an encyclopedia or almanac help?

You can just PhR w/o activating. In order to benefit though, you need to set a clear purpose or outcome in your quiet scene or deep alpha state of mind.

After you are finished w/ PhRing, go back to the quiet scene & visualize whatever it is you are PhRing for.

Lastly, don't look back. I'm serious. Don't look back. Just pretend it's all there & working. The more often you do this, the greater the neural connections will be & it will work for you.

At the end of 1 year, THEN look back

I've had alot of strange coincidences since starting this in July and my dreams have been alot more vivid. Go to the library and PR several books on dreams, esp, mind power, spirituality etc. See if you don't feel differently for a while. Like a movie that moves you, it wears off but it's not like you can't go back and activate the books that draw you to them. For now do it with books that interest you. I haven't hit the encyclopedia's yet.
