Let me start by saying that I am a healthy skeptic of any capitalistic endeavor . . .

My fear is that you get the book and don't get the results you are looking for and are then "recommended" to take seminars to "clarify" and "break beyond" those pesky "prepatterned" cognitive abilities.

I'm not so sure that everyone has the same cognitive or learning potential and have a preconcieved notion that PR involves mastering transferance from short to long term memory in ever larger chunks of stored short term info. The simplest example that I can think of is trying to memorize the number 149217761865 vs. 1492 - 1776 - 1865.

Anyway I have always seen myself as right-brained and have always had to dogmatically jack-hammer away at worded information while others seem to swim through the printed word as if on a warm summer's day. I wasn't smart so I had to work harder-translated: I spent more time than others.

What I am looking for should I be convinced to by the PR book is a good investment. Will the time and $ invested be less than the time and $ returned on my investment?

There are many pieces to the puzzle of my fulfillment that I am lacking simply based on the fact that my time, money, and cognitive abilities are lacking.

As an artist/personal trainer I want to learn anatomy inside and out.

Programming languages are something I want to learn.

Very specific high $$ computer animation programs along with the specifics of animation itself.

(The art of)Photography is high on the list as well.

Obviously, I am looking to absorb and retain some very specific info. here.

At 28 after doing a little soul-searching-I know what it is that I would like to do, ideally. I just want to get out of my own way and do it . .

BTW for those of you looking for an educational component here-

The book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" can teach anyone how to visualize and draw-the techniques work. It would be interesting to see how PR and this book coincide.
