Speed in learning photoreading in my opinion depends on your learning style in the past. As to your learning it: You alone can discover for sure exactly how skilled you will naturally be at activating past experience and learnings into full photoreading skill.

I do think your outcome is shooting for the moon. I assume you are committed to this course of action, so... good on you for shooting!

Some of the positives are: you have a very clear outcome to work towards. You have a nice sharp timeframe to pace yourself within. You have strong external and internal motivations to learn. You can notice learning faster and with a sharper mind as you activate the information, because of the immediate payoff. You can play with it with total committment and engagement for the same reasons, and you can find dramatic increases in skills for it as well. You've really raised the stakes on yourself, so you must think it's possible deep down!
