I've been following this post for awhile now, and you seem quite enamored with this Delta meditation. But I haven't found any place where you explain what it is. Is it a certain program from a book? or tapes? or your tai chi instructor? As for measuring your lifting gains, it really is a good idea of recording arm, chest, thigh measurements every now and again, just to note your progress, and know that you are actually achieving something concrete, instead of the more subjective, "Is My Bicep a Nice Pillow Test?" Before and after pictures are also a good idea.
Now, paraliminals. I've been using them inconsistantly for about a year, but regretfully I have not noticed a tremendous difference. There very well could be a difference, but I just have not noticed it to any great extent. I still listen to them as I fall asleep each night, such that now, I believe I've conditioned myself to get at least drowsy whenever I listen to them. Even 10 minute supercharger leaves me drowsy, but relaxed. Obviously, this is not what 10 minute supercharger should be doing. Though deep relaxation does feel like an hour worth of sleep. After only an hour of sleep, I usually feel more tired than when I started. Other people seem to get a lot out of these tapes, and I know the principles of NLP work, so these tapes are definitely doing something, I'm just not sure what. There probably is a fair amount of resistance in my conscious mind, for I always am much to doubting and critical. Would that really change things though? Paraliminals are supposed to bypass the conscious mind, no?
Valete.

Delta Meditation is Godlike! The thing that you refer to as “Brian”, disappears and recedes into nothingness for a short time, where it is healed and repaired—in all respects. Actually, I explained it a while back, but here it is again: (description of delta meditation) “Now for the binaural beat, I use the free Brainwave Generator program found at www.bwgen.com. I start at 13 hz and move down to 6 hz in the first 7 minutes. For the next 8 minutes I go from 6 hz to 3.4 hz. The next 47 minutes I spend going from 3.4 to 1.5hz. For the final three minutes, I shoot up really fast from 1.5 hz to 40 hz to make sure that I get up, because this is a state of the most profound relaxation you can imagine—you feel like you got run over by a Mack truck! You’ll feel it in every cell! If you are a registered user of the Brainwave Generator, I suggest importing the preset DeepMind II and making the necessary alterations with those settings—it has the ideal carrier frequencies/background sounds etc. Finally, *gasp* I pipe this through my Proteus Mind Machine to add in Light Entrainment from the audiostrobe goggles too! If you are just beginning with Delta Meditation, it might be best to spend the first 30 minutes going from say…15 hz to 4 hz. Once at 4, hold for the next 30 minutes. I’d do this until I got used to the experience. Begin with a higher carrier frequency.” Actually, since writing that, I’ve read that Zen monks, when they begin to meditate, only do so at around 12hz. Then, they gradually sink lower to 5-7 hz –after about 20 years. Now, in no time at all, you’re going down to 1.5 hz. . . even lower if you like. Amazing what we can do with technology. I’m not sure this would be possible for me to ever do on my own.
As for feedback and weight-lifting. All I need is to feel or sense any increases in my bicep—this type of reinforcement, at least for me, is more powerful than quantitative measurements. Once I’ve developed and perfected a habit, I try not to think about it--to just run it on automatic. The great thing about static contraction is that weekly progress is guaranteed. If you haven’t moved up in weight from your last workout—you’re probably doing it wrong. As for paraliminals—perhaps listen to Belief every day for a week to strengthen your belief in them? Cheers.

My mistake, you did explain it before. I wasn't sure if that was the same thing. Sounds very interesting, I might have to try it out. I was going to pick up the Qigong tape series here at LS, but certainly no reason to stop there. On that site, www.bwgen.com, it mentions how many users have experienced psyhic phenomena in this deep meditative state. Have you? I've tried a multitude of psychic development techniques, but usually give up before any breakthroughs. Fear of success I guess. Anyway, you got me thinking about static contraction training again so I guess now I have to go buy myself some decent equipment. I just wanted to get more into the aerobic exercise, following the Maffetone Method that Tony Robbins promotes, before I get back into the whole anaerobic scene. I salute you. Good day.

On that site, www.bwgen.com, it mentions how many users have experienced psychic phenomena in this deep meditative state. Have you? What is psychic? Can anyone tell me this? I don’t know. Is it more than intuition? The number of ‘intuitive’ or ‘psychic’ coincidences I’ve been experiencing since doing delta and eliminating sleep have been too numerous to relate. In innumerable cultures Third Eye stimulation is often associated with psychic powers. One thing I’ve noticed—I can’t TRY to have an intuitive/psychic experience. It’s got to happen spontaneously. I've tried a multitude of psychic development techniques, but usually give up before any breakthroughs. The simplest method in the world: http://www.viewzone.com/amygdala/index.html for the simplest way to activate the Third Eye. -- Maffetone method? What is that? I didn’t know Anthony Robbins promoted that? --I always thought rebounding was his thing. Is there an aerobic exercise that is more powerful than trampolining? He also used to like to run so hard that he’d almost die. He was ultra intense on the stair master as well. And his maids used to complement him on the vast array of exercise equipment in his castle home—which burned down (?).—but he never used the equipment because he was always doing seminars. Very dedicated man. So dedicated in fact, he got a divorce from his wife earlier this year. That was very surprising considering he claims to be a specialist on relationships and has been offering advice on them for years. He also had never failed to mention his relationship with Becky and how profound and loving it was...

I guess Awaken the Giant Within is about 9 years old, so it is more than likely Tony Robbins has changed his favorite exercise program. But the Mafftone Method, by Dr. Philip Maffetone is an aerobic fitness/health scheme based on jogging at a "healthy" heart rate, and not pushing yourself when it hurts. He was the training coach for Stu Mittleman, who ran 1,000 miles in 11 days, 19 hours, without injury. This is to train your metabolism, not just your muscles. I don't know much about rebounding, but I have owned a small exercise tampoline since, yes, the 80's, but I never really saw how you could get much out of it. That amygdala stimulation sounds intriguing. Though it also sounds a bit quackish. Which book by Neil Slade would you recommend? Or could I just find all the information I need off the net?

an aerobic fitness/health scheme based on jogging at a "healthy" heart rate, and not pushing yourself when it hurts. ah yes, tried that for a while--even bought a heart monitor. My thought on this is T Robbins sought a means to motivate people to exercise, who otherwise would not, or, would try and give up from the pain. "If you are exercising and you cannot carry on a conversation, you are doing too much" Dr. Bob Arnot blew this one a way in The Biology of Success. So have others. There are so many perspectives out there. I never really saw how you could get much out of it. Check out: http://www.needakmfg.com/benefits.html It will blow your socks off! But the master key here, is--rebounding actually 'fun'. Imagine exercise that is a joy to do? Also, the great thing about aerobics is that it doesn't have to be all done at the same time. 30 minutes a day could be split 5 ways. --this makes rebounding ideal for the office or short study breaks. That amygdala stimulation sounds intriguing. It's all there on the net. Just tickle your amygdala with an imaginary feather, and you should feel it. If it sounds quacky, it's because T.D. Lingo was an entertainer in addition to scientist and realized that to really get through to people, humor works like nothing else. I found my old tampoline, I guess now I should go try it out. Any specific exercises with it that you recommend? As for TD Lingo and his work, am I to assume you practice this? You seem rather skeptical of the whole psychic possibility. And if you have had results with this, what sort of experiences are we dealing with?
And is the amygdala that we are supposed to tickle in our mind, are we tickling just the frontal lobe, or those two individual chunks of brain that make of the amygdala? Off the subject, but where could I find a cheap, yet effective brain wave moniter, a cheap EEG machine? I want to put to rest any doubts that I have about the state of my photofocus. I do a long self-induction but do not know if it is working right. Nothing feels fundementally different.

Any specific exercises with it that you recommend?Well, I made my own, actually. (It's dangerous to ask me questions... you never know what may come out!!!) Introducing... Brian’s Break of Power (do *at least* 3 times daily at strategic times—takes exactly 10 minutes) 30 sec PREPARE Cheap, Quick Aromatherapy Spray Pour very tall glass of water (1 L), wheat-grass at the ready Play “Power-up” MP3 Playlist 2 min Turn Bounce Focus solely—mentally intense 2 min Strength Bounce Fire Breath—physically intense Anchor state (hand slap) 2 min 30 sec Look in Mirror, Eye to Eye, Smile Broad, Physiology of Excellence Drink 1 liter of water Green Grass powder under tongue Positive thoughts and self talk 3 min Standing Meditation Position, Close eyes Visualize and Feel vision index card of ideal future (from Trinidad Hunt) 5 Augmented Breaths (1:4:2 ratio) “3, 2, 1, flower” NLP State Producer Anchor state with mental flower/’relax’ 10 min total Also, the music that you play should coincide with the state that each stage is trying to bring about. The first 2 minutes are very dangerous and you must have 100% concentration to jump in 360 degree twists—music should be simple and have a ‘building’ or ‘rising’ feeling. The next two minutes are physically intense and really excite the nervous system. Go all out. The music should be ‘in your face’ and ‘powerful’. The next 2.5 minutes should be spent building positive emotional feelings. Think happy thoughts—get euphoric. Music should be spine tingly and ‘inspiring’. For the final 3 minutes, music should cease as you enter the ideal state of consciousness. With each session, try to twist more and more and jump higher and higher.
This automates a slew of things. You get your deep breathes, your nutrients from wheat grass, your water, you get your aerobic workout, you brighten your mood, focus your concentration, you center yourself, and you visualize the ideal future. Now you are playing with power! Brian

As for TD Lingo and his work, am I to assume you practice this? I envision myself as sort of super-TD Lingo in the future. Briefly, I envision myself procuring massive amounts of cash, then buying my own mountain, then setting up my own brain laboratory, finally finding a means to disseminate my new technologies for the benefit of all—it’s the same process Pete mentioned in choosing a house and Paul mentioned in forming a tape business--Visioneering. I WILL unlock the potential of the human mind. I am prepared to dedicate all of my available time, energy, money, and conscious and other-than-conscious resources toward that end from now until my death—and I’m going to live a very VERY long time (barring accident). That is my PURPOSE in life. I WILL achieve this. No doubt exists. I am like the arrow that springs from the bow. Onward I go, no matter who may wish to call me back. You seem rather skeptical of the whole psychic possibility.
Yes, I was until Mike Kovacs appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly, my mind was open to the possibility. Now that I’ve been having a few “actual” experiences of my own, my doubt grows less and less—daily. Btw, you don’t need no stinking EEG. The sensation in your forehead, your godhead, is enough. If you are having trouble activating your third eye, chew on this: (some more of my theory) Remember when you were a teenager? You started to build up all of that sexual energy? I’m sure you found the way to release it. :P That is unfortunate. According to Napoleon Hill—who got his theory from Freud (?), if you didn’t release it in the traditional manner, you would have found some other means to release that energy via sublimation or channeling into more productive endeavors. His thesis is, “there has never been and never will be a genius who did not have extraordinarily high sex energy.” Instead of traditional release, they sublimate. NOW, (Mike Kovacs, cover your eyes) Let’s take my crackpot theory on REM sleep deprivation. Think of your dreams as analogous to sex or masturbation. What happens when you don’t release sexual desire? You start becoming productive and genius abilities begin to manifest. After a time, you may also begin to have wet dreams. All are indicative of a building up and release or sublimation of energy. So, I draw an analogy. When you dream, you are essentially sowing your wild oats. My third eye DIES; it actually fizzles out after a good night’s sleep. I try, but cannot awaken it. Real sleep is like kryptonite to my Superman powers. When you don’t dream, the creative power of the imagination builds up and analogously leaks out of your frontal lobes. The more your deprive yourself of dreams, the more creative energy you build up, the more it leaks out of your brain *WHILE YOU ARE AWAKE* so you can actually leverage it—instead of wasting that energy in sleep. So, forget about the EEG. The third eye is indicative of super-theta. When you feel it, you’ll know you are there.
