I know that purpose is the driving force behind photoreading but how could I weave a purpose into this situation? For my dissertation a uni, my lecturer gave me 4 books and told me to read them and see if a came up with any ideas. My dissertation is on the abortion issue in american politics. I chose that issue bacause the info is readily available and it is a big issue. However I wasn't sure what my angle of approach would be, that is why i was told to read the books and come up with some ideas. therefore what would a realistic purpose be? I feel I am reading without a solid purpose and therefore cannot bypass info.

all replies would be appreciated
