hello everyone. i would just like to share my successful experience with the photoreading whole mind system. i received the home learning course about a month and a half ago. i listened to all the tapes, etc. and read these message boards while learning.

school started last month, and this year i have a college level AP US History class. we were given several textbook reading assignments, on which i used the system. also, the night before the test, i converted all my notes into a giant mind map, which i studied from.

we took our first unit test, and i scored 100 percent! it was great! i feel like i have very solid comprehension of the subject matter. i hope to have continued success with the photoreading system!

Congratulations dan G It's nice to read about success stories such as yours and how photoreading is making a big impact on your school studies. I too am still learning and working with the system. I only wish that this was around when I was attending high school and college, seeing that I graduated from college some 26 years ago . I'll doing this now because I love to read technical stuff and I think it's the bomb. What inspired me to search out photoreading or something similar, I was watching a victoria era movie on television and for the love of me I don't know the name of it, I turned to the movie in the middle of it, but this wealthy young gentleman was at house sitting in his study, sipping on a glass of wine by candlelight and photo flipping a book and his young beautiful wife walked in and asked him "You're not actually reading that fast are you" and the gentleman stated "Go ahead and ask me something" and she smiled and said "No Honey, that's quite alright, I believe you". And believe it or not, that did it for me. I thought "Man, I really wish I could read like that" And here I'am today.

Hello dan G, I just happy to know that you are success in the PR course. It like give me more confidence about this tape. I just received it yesterday and, I spent 6 hours at the first day to listened to the 1st and 2nd A side of the tapes. I found it much more difficult than I though. Anyways, I try not to give up.

May I ask you a question ? When I doing the Distionary game, I found myself even cannot remmeber a word. When I focus on the middle of the dictionary, I stiil can imaging a 'X' link the 4 corner, but the word is geting blur, and I can't even remmeber one. I tried around 4 times but the result is the same --0 %. I hear other people say they maybe can get one correct or just do it invert, but I cna't, as I told you, Ican't even know what words I'm PRing. If you have such an experiences please let me know, and I hopefully you'll tell me the solution.

When I statrted learning to PR, I didn't have much success with the dictionary game either and gave up playing it because i started to experience alot of stress from the pressure I was putting on myself to "get it right". I have read other posts on this forum that have declared that the dictionary game is not neccessary in order for you to learn to PR, so don't worry about not being able to play the game.

As for the words being blurry, thats ok, they are for me as well most of the time when I PR.

I am currently activating a medical text book that is very technical and the author is introducing alot of new terms that I haven't come across before. Last week I started activating a chapter and didn't understand the material. After one day of being stuck I asked myself "how this material is different than what I am doing in my office and is it better than what I am currently doing?" After another day the answers came to me and I understood what the author was trying to say and that her techniques are inferior to what I am currently using. I was unsure of my conclusions so I continued to activate the chapter in question and after another day my confidence in my conclusions is high enough to allow further activation of the rest of the text. I will be finished with the next 4 chapters of this text with in two days.

If I didn't know how to PR I would've put the book back on the shelf and probably never opened it again as a result of being in a stuck state and not knowing how to get through it. THIS SYSTEM IS AWESOME!!!!

I am also in US History AP this year. I try to use photoreading but end up getting very little out of the book. I end up with grades in the 80's: horrible. I have only the book, but it is nice to know that PRing does work. I am going to email someone later about my problems with it, so I don't really need anyone to answer any questions.

I had zero success with the dictionary game. i just listened to paul's advice and didn't beat myself up. it doesn't bother me much, considering it's not a very practical use of the system. who cares where on the page words are..

When you do the dict game you're only supposed to use 4 quadrants of the page- upper right, left and lower right and left. I was trying to pick the exact spot so of course I blew it. My first time I imagined a word that wasn't even in the dictionary- "tree" and that freaked me out. I figured that, of all words would be in there. Before that my purpose for Photoreading a particular book was looking for missing info. Also, I've photoread 4 dictionaries before even getting the course so I've seen different placements of words so that can't be good.
