I took those tests for Prudential (years ago) and my wife just took them for State Farm. She wouldn't use my Photoreading on them, she preferred just to read and study the normal way. We both passed them without using any fancy study tech's so it's possible but I think it's more important to know how to take tests than to really understand the material - to pass them. I passed the Life/Accident/Health one without studying because I was fresh out of college and was VERY used to taking multiple choice tests- being able to find the right or wrong answer based on the wording alone. Also the fact that my starting the job and making money depended on passing so there was this sense of urgency in passing.
If I were you I would PR and Superread sections of the book every night and study read it the next day while mind mapping each chapter separately then see how you do on the practice tests. Most of the questions deal with what does of doesn't belong in a certain situation. Mind maps would have helped there definately.
