This is my first post here!

I'm about to order the PR Self Study courses....But i'm really afraid that it doesn't workout with me!

I like to learn all the time but I get very bored and fast when i take printed materials, I'm putting hope in the PR course.

I need feedback from persons that felt like me and overcomed this problem.

I heavily recommend the course, but there are a few things I should mention:

1) If you are ordering because of the infomercial, please know that the photoreading process is only a SMALL part of the entire learning system. You most likely won't get to the level Pete was at in the infomercial very soon, and to be honest spontaneous activation hasn't happened to me yet. Most of the process is acivating the book, and depending on the material you are activating, this will still take awhile. (Albeit much quicker than reading itself, with better comprehension).
2) The tapes are vital. Do NOT skip on the exercises, and follow ALL the steps. I'm CRAWLING through a novel right now and I'm convinced it's because I skipped a step involving trigger words.
3) Keep an open mind. Asking yourself "Is this really working" as you're photoreading is NOT a good thing to do, as it's distracting and will throw you off (READ: MAKE IT NOT WORK)

You can get through articles pretty quickly, as well as non-fiction material besides Logic. Novels, leisure reading, and Logic stuff involves Rapid Reading, which (though some may argue with me on this) is much slower than the other types involved in the system. You *can* photoread a novel in 5 minutes. But that won't do anything unless you activate it, and if you want to really know it (read: for a test) you will also have to prepare and preview.

With that being said, my experience is that the system is excellent. But it will still take effort, and if you get bored easily you're going to have to try harder, as a very large portion of the system is deep relaxation.

Remember, if you don't like it, you can always return it.

here's another question:

If i have determined to study well and follow the tapes everything will go fine?
i mean to I have to do some extra research or effort not given by this course?

For example: they tell me to do this and that while the course doesn't give an example on how to do this and that.

I don't want to mislead you as I, too, am really just a beginner, but I'll do my best to give you accurate information.

From what I can gather, I'll say this: sometimes it works for people right away, sometimes it takes longer, and sometimes it takes longer than that. See, a lot of it is *unlearning* your present methods of reading, which, as you can imagine, varies in intensity between individuals. I was an Evelyn Woods Speedreading Course Follower before I was a Photoreader, so Rapid Reading (which is to some extent speedreading without your finger) is kind of difficult for me, especially since you vary your reading speed throughout the text (with speedreading, the speed is constant, so the importance of the text is irrelevant; in this respect rapid reading is much more effective).

I guess the best I can tell you is, you might get it right away, you might not...in either case, 30 days (the money back guarantee limit) should be a decent amount of time to find out, and if not, I believe they will offer an extentsion for you (I think 6 months or something...someone please check me on this) if you want to continue trying the program but aren't having any luck.

In other words, order it. You have so much to gain if it works, and so little to lose if it takes longer or you just get fed up with beforehand. But at least you'll know for sure.

Then what kind of people is photoreading probably going to work with? I'm a kind of people who's hard to sleep (around 1 hour to sleep) does that affect my ability to learn photoread? and is there any device or technique that can put people like me to sleep or approach alpha state more quickly?

One of the first things the operator told me when I ordered my photoreading course was that it is different from anything I have ever learned before. And it is. When I was first getting started I was skeptical about whether or not I would be able to be as fast and as accurate as Pete on the infomercial. I realized that the photoreading step is only part of the whole system so don't expect to see results like that right away. But I can tell you that within these past 2 weeks, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my reading speed and understanding...and I'm only half way through the course. The system will teach you to use parts of your brain that you didn't know you could. It is very different but very beneficial. I suggest you order it ASAP for your own good.

theerapun, get the "dream play" paraliminal tape if you're having trouble sleeping. I used it for 2 weeks and now I fall asleep before the tape is even done. I know this because when the tape player clicks off it wakes me up. I thought that was amazing since before I'd be awake for 45 min before falling asleep.

I think PR will work for those that just keep going even when they don't see results. I wasn't seeing any for a while.

lallous, the course is complete, they don't mention something and then not explain it. Ramon hit the nail on the head when he said that it's mostly UNLEARNING what you already have learned about reading. For me it took 6 weeks before I was willing to finally do all the steps in the times that they said to do them. I had a huge speedreading backround and that was just MORE I had to let go of for it to work.

The SuperReading step is the hardest to get the hang of but once you get the 'point' of it the whole course will have been worth the money. If you don't get good at that step you are not going to blow away speedreaders.

Hmm, Thanks for the replies guys...I'm worried about the Guarranty thing. I'm not in the US I'm in Lebanon, and I'm afraid I don't manage to return them in case I didn't like them or failed. But i'll do my best not to fail instead ask lots of questions.
