can I PRead a programming book?

like mastering C++ for example??

that book is full of examples and stuff...plz advise

I'm still a novice to PR and there's a lot to learn for me. But I think PR'ing programming-books helps to understand more easily. I study computer-science and PR'ed two big books on Java-programming (800 - 1000 pages per book). I still had to attend the courses but I passed the tests successfully in the end. I have to say that I am not sure if I would have understood so much on programming without PR in the first tries because my first preferences are art and languages, not maths and algorithms. But I think, with PR I can handle it (at least I hope so).
I think from PR'ing programming-books you understand what happens "behind the scenes", but you still have to do the exercises like "learning by doing" - it seemed to have worked with me. In our classes I always missed the backgorund-information like "Why do I have to use integer? Where did the object go to?", but I often found out myself. Looking back now I think I understood many things because of PhotoReading. Try it and see what happens.

Hm, from what I already heard/ read in the forum and the book this should be really helpful for PR'ing programming books because you already have background-information and know what it takes in general to write programs. I still have to learn that (bloody beginner, you know? ). Keep on it.
