Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer Things don't look familiar

Although I do all the steps of the system and everything goes well, when I activate (after 2 passes), nothing looks familiar. It's like I've never performed the photoreading step.

There are times that nothing in the book seems familiar to me, until it gels. That's how I know it is time to quit activating. Because it gels. It comes together. I know the material.

Do I know or remember everything in the book? No, but I would do quite well on a comprehension test.

Actually, most books or the information they contain are not worth the time. It is folly to think you have to know everything. What's the value?

A few exceptions involve studying for school, but even professors will admit that much of the information in books have little value (unless the professor wrote the book, and believe me, I've heard from professors who say that every word in their book is vital. "I've labored over every sentence, every word. I don't want anyone going through this book unless they consider every detail the way I present it.")

Is it possible that a lack of proper relaxation/concentration during the photoreading step would affect the results of the whole system?

When I first started PRing, I did really well, because Steele's voice on the back of tape 1 relaxed me really well (then I finally started using that paraliminal tape). Then I stopped doing very well, because I was trying to relax on my own, and I wasn't really getting it.

I'm starting to get it now, so it's very possible that it maybe the actual PRing process that's hindering you.

Do you have the book or the home study course?

I don't have the course, I just read the book and I think it was quite sufficient to teach me the method.
