Eagerchild has a HUGE point on this, that I have been trying to spread into the minds of such brainwashed people.
When I had asked a question about activating technical information, I received a response that it would take me 90 30-minute activation sessions to get comprehension (and that's not even full)!
If you know how to calculate, you can see that (90 x 30)/60 = 45 Hours.
This is definitely not 3x faster!!!
I'd rather "regular read" and get it done in 5 hours or less with FULL Comprehension & Retention.
BTW: Even if it wasn't 90, 30-minute activation sessions per section per chapter would still be equivalent or slower than my normal rate now.
Sacrificing my rate of a normal-90%+ retention rate, would kill me in the future if this system failed to work and distorted my primary reading process.
If you want something for studies, try out a good speed reading program. Exams require on-spot information recall, not "activation" and "incubation."
If this may seem intensely offensive, I'm sorry - but it's pure mathematics.
P.S. Margaret - It is possible to master something, very early on in life (if you have the motivation/determination).
For example, take Accelerated Learning.
I killed off a year of high school through acceleration, and now I'm trying to kill off two years of college. Result =? An MD at 22 probably, compared to the normal age of 26.
