You can do that. I think it's more important to know what you want from a book before you read it and if you only get 5 words, maybe you just want to know more about those 5 things instead of more. In doing research for my book about Trend Trading I would pick up books and sometimes find what I want from the Preview alone. If you're reading something like "The Einstein Factor" and you want to learn everything in the book you'll find out that still you don't want to know everything, just what applies to your life RIGHT NOW. In a year you may read it again and find your ready for something else in it that you weren't interested in before. If you do find "you want it all" you will have to rapid read. Being the last step of Photoreading it saves time. Speedreading makes you do it first and most of the time is a waste. If I were you I'd preview and write down the words that jump out at you and leave it at that, no matter how few you get.
