"I have been curious about photoreading misinformation in books. What if an author just doesn't know what he is talking about and prints incorrect facts. Or a book contains half-baked theories or something. Will the subconscious just take all of that to be true or is it able to discern between good information and bad.
Also what if a book has a bunch of negative themes or limited thinking in it could that possibly effect a persons belief structure negatively?"

this takes into account having previewed and decided to read the book to find out exactly what the author is talking about? does the information become integrated into your lifestyle (let's say you PR Mein Kampf)? or does it first become available to you consciously, where you can reason and think about it to make a decision? dont all the stories we hear about PR tho suggest that the conscious mind ends up following watever the unconscious mind feeds it?

thx

for eg>

Anyone that has tried to kick a habit knows how difficult it is to quit when the subconscious mind is an enemy. If your self-image is that you are a smoker then guess what it is going to be difficult to willpower your way out of that habit. Your brain doesn't want to make you into a liar. It believes that it is addicted--so it is.

that seems to follow the same logic: if your subconscious believes something, then it'll manifest in your actions...so what if you PR a "negative" book (anything that you find contrary to your beliefs/values/morals)? will your subconscious manifest the new negative information in your everyday life?

hmm....

I think the subconscious will just reject it if it really goes against your belief structure.

I remember Andy saying that he had a lot of trouble reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" because he absolutely hated it and disagreed with everything in it. I'm pretty sure that he hasn't taken any of its negativity in, since he's writing a book now which wil go against what these type of books are saying.

I have problems reading boring books because subconsciously they're still boring to me. Cambridge, which I thought was great, I got through in under two hours. Moll Flanders and Pamela are terrible to me, and I haven't finished either one yet. As a side note, something interesting finally happened in Pamela, and when that section came, activating it was a breeze. Then that section was over, and I'm slow again. Sadness.

I guess that the material won't make you judge it subconsciously but will just be *in there* for activation, and that it shouldn't affect you anymore than had you actually read it. For example, if you PR (sans activation) Natural Brilliance, you might make positive decisions, because had you actually read it, you might think that those options are good ones. But if you read "How to Ruin The World Using Thought-Controlling BioWeapons and Starbucks", you probably wouldn't do anything bad, since if you actually read it, you would think it was insane (I hope).

In sum, I think that the information is there, but doesn't really affect you until it is judged by reason (which is odd, because I think reason is conscious). It would explain why Andy hated RDPD, I hated Moll Flanders, and why Rabbi Tucker would probably hate Mein Kampf.

If you notice slight ANGER and a BLOCKED "THis ain't working, I'm getting nothing" feeling you know you've probably found a book that sucks or that your subconsious is warning you about.

"9 steps to financial freedom" and "Rick Dad/poor Dad" sent me threw the roof because of their RETARDEDNESS (sorry if you're offended but there is no better word) and when i was PRing I got irritated and i couldn't focus and finally I figured it out. You get hunches when you read and they aren't always good.
