Thank you for your encouragement. I have only spent about 8 hours listening to the tapes and working the exercises. [I first received the program materials last Friday afternoon.] I have already made a mental committment of 40 hours; but if twice or three times that number is required, I will probably need some form of reassurance - such as meeting personally with someone who has been successful.
You are probably correct that I should not have to spend a hundred hours to develop the enhanced reading skills promised by the PhotoReading program. Here again, however, this is another illustration of the kind of information I am seeking. How many hours of working with the program are generally required to enhance reading skill by a factor of 10, by a factor of 20, or by a factor of 30 (which is my goal)?
I fully recognize, of course, that we are all different and that none of us learn at the same rate. On the other hand, if we assume certain constants such as level of formal education, experience and maturity, professional career disciplines, etc., I would think that a general "norm" would emerge that would show the amount of time and effort required to achieve such goals. It is certainly an important and valuable piece of information that will be very useful and helpful to me if the person who provides the information is objective and: (1) has an educational background and professionsl career characteristics similar to mine, and (2) has a demonstrated proficiency of an enhanced reading skill that approaches my goal. Some might say: Why is the second component necessary? Technically speaking, it's not; however, it unquestionably magnifies and underscores the credibility of the information.
