It has been suggested that the reading rate of 25,000 (or more) words per minute which is "advertised" ("advocated with emphasis" may be more descriptive) by Learning Strategies Corporation in describing the benefits of learning the technique of PhotoReading applies only to the photoreading segment itself and that such rate does not mean that the reader will be able to immediately "activate" or bring the read material to a conscious state of comprehension and recall until sometime later, and that it is not unusual to see "activation" (or recall with comprehension to a conscious state) occur until the following day.
