I have several books with speedreading tests and on most of them I get 90%. If I cheat and read the questions first I can read faster and most of the time get 100%.
But in reality you aren't always being tested in a multiple choice fassion. YOU have to decide what you want out of a book and the level of comp you want.
There's only so much new info you can actually apply in your life on any given day. I think it's best to PR till you find one concept that you'll actually use, use it and then PR and pick up something else and use that and keep going like that. This is completely different than normal reading. If you spend 5 hours on a book how likely are you to go back and DO everything you learn? Not much especially if you're pressed for time or TIRED of reading.
