I am a pre-medicine student which recently took the MCAT(medical school entrance standarized exam) in spring. My score was as following:
Verbal Reasoning 6 Physical Science 9 Biological Science 10
Competitive Scores should meet the following requirement: V 9 P 10 B 10.
After the spring MCAT, I knew this wasn't going to be easy. I needed to increase my physical science and most importantly my verbal reasoning. Soon after, I was flipping through the channels when I stumbled onto the Photoreading infomercial. At first, I was skeptical, but then I started getting excited at the possibility that this might work. SO, I got the photoreading system. I completely photoread all my MCAT prep material, and scientific texts several times (>20). I activated the material by daily rapid reading & skittering and solving practice problem in the review workbook. I had another opportunity to take the MCAT in August. By the end of July, I felt that I had improved tremendously and that I had a better understanding of the materials. I hung up positive affirmations throughout my whole room. Phases like the "MCAT is mine. I am in total control and I have achieved all the knowledge needed to ace this exam" were said daily. I excelled well at the practice exams. Come the day of the exam, I did a lot of relaxation sessions and was very relaxed. My stress was practically non-existent. I took the exam with great confidence and knew that PR and daily practice would excel me to medical school and beyond. Today, I received my score. B 9 P 8 V 5 I was in total shock! I did not understand what I had done wrong. Even, if I didn't have the PRing System, I still would have felt that I had practiced enough to improve my score. This has been one of the most disappointing days of my life. Most people would give up, but I still feel this calling inside to become a doctor. AND I WILL NOT FAIL THIS CALLING. But I am disappointed that I have not yet found success with photoreading when other people brag about on this forum. I am truly sad at this moment.
The following post is not in anyway meant to discourage individuals from photoreading, but I thought I would vent since I am having a very bad day.
