I am a pre-medicine student which recently took the MCAT(medical school entrance standarized exam) in spring. My score was as following:
Verbal Reasoning 6 Physical Science 9 Biological Science 10
Competitive Scores should meet the following requirement: V 9 P 10 B 10.
After the spring MCAT, I knew this wasn't going to be easy. I needed to increase my physical science and most importantly my verbal reasoning. Soon after, I was flipping through the channels when I stumbled onto the Photoreading infomercial. At first, I was skeptical, but then I started getting excited at the possibility that this might work. SO, I got the photoreading system. I completely photoread all my MCAT prep material, and scientific texts several times (>20). I activated the material by daily rapid reading & skittering and solving practice problem in the review workbook. I had another opportunity to take the MCAT in August. By the end of July, I felt that I had improved tremendously and that I had a better understanding of the materials. I hung up positive affirmations throughout my whole room. Phases like the "MCAT is mine. I am in total control and I have achieved all the knowledge needed to ace this exam" were said daily. I excelled well at the practice exams. Come the day of the exam, I did a lot of relaxation sessions and was very relaxed. My stress was practically non-existent. I took the exam with great confidence and knew that PR and daily practice would excel me to medical school and beyond. Today, I received my score. B 9 P 8 V 5 I was in total shock! I did not understand what I had done wrong. Even, if I didn't have the PRing System, I still would have felt that I had practiced enough to improve my score. This has been one of the most disappointing days of my life. Most people would give up, but I still feel this calling inside to become a doctor. AND I WILL NOT FAIL THIS CALLING. But I am disappointed that I have not yet found success with photoreading when other people brag about on this forum. I am truly sad at this moment.

The following post is not in anyway meant to discourage individuals from photoreading, but I thought I would vent since I am having a very bad day.

SD,

I'm not going to go on any of those speeches or say any of those cliches you don't want to hear right now. I wouldn't want to hear them either.

Just wanted to offer you my sympathies, and let you know that my heart goes out to you, brother.

Yes, perhaps you are having a bad day as you say. But, i am wondering why you choose to view the success that others post as---bragging----?

I have read all kinds of success posts & absolutely none of them has ever sounded like bragging. Why you would choose to see them as a form of bragging is indicative of a real problem on your end of life.

If you want to "vent" then you need to find a positive way to do so. You need to find a way to make your frustration work for you.

Perhaps you could take the time to do the last part of the B side of tape 8. Or, if you don't have the course, then just visualize your problem---erase it---then visualize the perfect solution to that problem. Whenever you begin to feel or think about the problem, just visualize the Solution you formed. Never visualize the original problem again once you have visualized the solution.

Good luck

Well put margaret:

I purchased my Photoreading course in the spring of 2000, 3 months after I had purchased the subdyn mental photography course. I didn't start learning the system until this past summer. I admit that it has been a slow, forever with this, but by no means are the people on this forum "bragging" about there accomplishments.
I myself see it as a motivator in my pursuit in learning how to transcend unknowing to the knowing. Everyone here is not beyond reaching out for help, we all need that from time to time, and I thank god for the wonderful people here that wishes to impart their experiences and trial and tribulations to help an other. So don't look at it as "Bragging". Remember what Paul stated on tape one, "There is no failure, just feedback. If you don't succeed, then you are human, Try it again!". Go easy on yourself, don't beat yourself up. We all are here to help.

Allen--that says it all. I feel for that poor guy in med-school. It's a rough road to travel. My best friend is in residency & he also had a rough time in med-school. Sometimes the best help in life is our attitude. In the end, it's all we ever really have. I hope, sincerely hope, he does not take my post as knocking him when he's down.

Strange thing, though, is that we really find out more about ourselves when things are not going right. His post has some real keys to changing his life around.

I learned a lot since spending 22 years in the USAF, and that is, you can spend millions of dollars on the latest and greatest weapontry/gadgets and training, but if the person's attitude is not 100%, none of it will help him. In order to be successful at anything in life, one must change their attitude. If you take the word "ATTITUDE" and for each letter write down their numerical position in the alphabets, then added the numbers together this is what you will get:
A=1
T=20
T=20
I=9
T=20
U=21
D=4
E=5
The sum total: 100%. It's all in your attitude. Like I've stated countless times before, SDstudent should continue practicing with the system, go thru tapes 1 - 8 again and countinue with his studies the conventional way until he gets the system to work for him and do not, I repeat, do not apply the system to his med school studies until he can get it to work! My mother once told "You may give out, but don't give up"!!!

My heart goes out to you. I'm sorry that your exam's score was less than satisfactory, but please, "Don't Give Up"
Hang in there. Perseverance will pull you through. Just relax and remove the stressor's in your life and the system will work for you.

I heard a joke with the attitude and numbers thing:

Assign each letter a number based on their placement in the alphabet (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.)

When a motivational speaker asks for you to give more than 100%, what are they asking for?

Hard Work = 98% So hard work isn't enough.

Knowledge = 96% So that's still not enough.

Attitude = 100% This is how you achieve 100% in life...but if the the motivational speaker wants more than 100%, what can you give them? Well, interestingly enough you can do this:

BULLSHlT = 103% Now you know how to handle those guys.
