Really, IMHO, he should not be using it for those particular exams. There are millions of multiple choice that are so close to the same meanning that it gets confusing. Older students (mid-20's) do better b/c they have an understanding of the big-picture.
He should do PhRing on books that are easy & interesting. This way he'll experience success. The only way to get more successful (Silva) is to build on SUCCESS. I was too intimidated to do the hard books. I did lots of easy books. Actually, books where i could go back over to make sure i really did get it in less time.
nutshell: learn PhRing & practice on EASY stuff to get the pleasure of the feeling of SUCK--SUCCESS
