[How is your pring going?]

I PR alot at night and then activate just what I care about. It helps me sleep for some reason when I PR at night.

[How long have you been doing this?]

I got the book in July and the course in August.

[Anyway, so I should pr one book a day and activate one book a day?]

No. Pr as much as you want but when it comes down to it, how many can you actually activate in a day? I think it's best to just stick to activating one a day because you'll be more likely to do it right if you don't have alot of books to worry about.

[I'm not sure if I've gotten deep enough into the photofocus state though. I've never experienced the trance-like state that I've heard described here. Will that come? I have noticed that it's easier for me to get focused to pr and I have less trouble staying there, but I'm still not sure.]

Don't worry about it. If you take 10 deep breaths and mentally say the word "RELAX" on the outbreaths, that's good enough. You can add the 3,2,1 and affirmations from the book in there too. Paul said on this forum a while ago that everyone worries too much about this accelarated learning state and that chances are, everyone IS getting into it but the worrying about it creates doubt that will knock you out of it. It's not something to try to "get in and stay in" it's just a starting point. What you are doing is getting yourself out of your normal state and into one more relaxed for reading. That's all. We aren't walking across fire or levetating, we're just relaxing and opening our minds a little bit.

[Also, how do I keep myself in the photofocus state for activation? ]

You don't use the photofocus state for activating. I don't always use it for photoreading either. Sometimes I just "see" both pages and notice the change in white space on the page as I turn pages. If you have the blip page going and then suddenly it's gone, who cares? Just keep flipping and either try to get it back or switch to noticing the while space and/or 4 corners. Saying to yourself "uh oh, am I doing this right?" is the only thing that you can do that's really WRONG. What I do is use the blip page and PR the book forward and then turn the book upside down and do the "4corners and white space" on the way back.

[I can never seem to stay concentrated on the text. Probably just takes time right?]

I'm assuming this is directed at activation (since you DON'T concentrate on the text during the PR step). If that happens, preview again and make more mind probe questions. It may also be that you really don't care about what's in the book and you're bored with it but are just doing it so you can say "yeah, I did 5 books a day, I'm crankin.'" We all did that in the beginning and what you'll find later on is that if you get a book you REALLY are interested in, you won't be able to not concentrate on it. But still, calling something "concentration" and thinking about it as a definate "state" that you either have or don't have can create the same problems you had with the accelerated learning state.
