Has anyone tried using the brainwave generator (www.bwgen.com) at any stage of the photoreading system?

Yes and it is wonderful! I usually use the learning presets and take the beat frequency down to 4 Hz. I also use an audio mixer and add in superlearning classical music. I must say this though. I can photoread without bwgen. The frequencies just help to keep me in state longer. Good luck in all you do!

I've read about brain wave generator before, but what exactly is it?

Put it simply the Brain wave generator can bring your brain in the alpha state. But I am not sure if you use it only during the photoreading or also during the activation (since there is a preset frequency for "learning"). Mykloh did you use it during activation also?
