You should read the success stories on this website. Half way down there is a story that begins: "A beginning photoreader photo read 10 books a day for several weeks." Spontaneous activation began to occur because his brain was ready and he knew all the steps. I am a beginning photoreader who does not practice a lot, but things are happening: I've photoread books and examined the table of contents and most of the subtitles and these books seem so familiar to me that I feel as though I've read the book word for word. Some books that I am not sure I have even photoread seem to have contents that make me say "I am sure that I have read this book." Also, my short term memory is turning into a long term memory: I wanted to memorize a web site address just by telling myself once to memorize it. Twenty minutes later I looked at the address again and that was it until the next day. The next day I tried to remember that address but could not. Ten minutes later it came to me and is now stuck in my permanent memory. The address is WWW.MACROTRONICS.COM. I tried this with people's funny last names and it works as well. Such names are DOMMINIQE ROBINSON and DEBRA NOWSALESKI. So, photoreading is a positive influnence on my brain.

Because I am a lazy reader, I don't think that I am following the photoreading steps properly, but my methods may help a beginning photoreader. I recently studied 6 chapters in a textbook; thats 119 pages in one hour, just by doing what I believed to be the photoreading steps.
1. Examine the book and the table of contents.
2. Photoread a chapter.
3. Since your at the end of the chapter, examine the questions.
4. Go backwards through the chapter reading the subtitles, graphs and pictures.
5. Go forwards through the chapter reading the first and last sentence of each paragraph (or get the idea of the sentence or paragraph). Think about the questions at the end of the chapter.
6. Go to the next chapter.
7. Remember just read, don't memorize. Let your subconscious mind take it all in.
7. Next day do it all over again.

Conclusion: 119 pages = 6 chapters in one hour. Good comprehension; if tested possibly high mark.

How the subconscious mind works: I do not know; just believe and practice the 5 steps of photoreading. Pete, Dana, Paul, and many others are proof that photoreading works. Enough blabbing. Do a search on my user-name for more of my stuff.
Bye-bye-bye
