I took the dicitonary test and had absolutely no luck at all, and I mean no luck. I didn't even get one word right. And by the way the wrong ones weren't cross assosiated either, like some have suggested; oposite or diagonal, meaning I was seeing them perhaps backwards.

I have been having good results with some technical reading and nonfiction and I'm very happy with the PR course.

I have yet to have a PR realated dream. I rarely have any dreams that I recall though, maybe twice a year. I know everyone dreams and everyone dreams everynight, but I don't have any recall.

I did another dictionary test. This time it was a different type of dictionary. It was a Catholic dictionary. When I PR it, I did it upsidedown. The results were unbelievable. I got 94% right. I wasn't sure if this was luck or if reading PR upside down helped. Later on the same evening, I had my wife give me 3 words and I got them all right!!! Any insight on this upside down theory would be appreciated.

I also placed a post a couple of weeks ago reguarding the reading of novels. I am still having trouble with them. The response was to just PR and then rapid read. The PR and then rapid read doesn't seem to be improving my comprehension or speed. When PRing I am still doing it right side up and am wondering if the upside down method would be perhaps better, condidering the result of the dictionary game.

One last question. It has been suggested to PR 3-5 books/day. My quesiton is, do you just PR them or do you do a complete preview, PR, and posview on these books?

Thank you and any help or insight on any of the above would be greatly appreciated,
Dan

Don't sweat it. Remember to have fun, because it's a game.

Right before you go to sleep, do step 3 of PhotoReading on a book which may contain insight to a problem you are trying to solve. Or, use a high-emotion novel. Then, give yourself some closing affirmation and questions as to what you want out of that book. Ask yourself "What insights, images, and ideas will I recall in the morning from PhotoReading this book?"

That's awesome!

The more you PhotoReading a dictionary, the more instances you may have with words spontaneously activating up into your conscious mind, even while you're turning the pages. It's happened to me many times.

I firmly believe you will make the most progress and really "hardwire" your brain with the PhotoReading process by working the whole 5-step system on 4-5 books. Prepare/Preview/PhotoRead each book. And then, fully activate it with multiple 30-minute sessions until the entire book "gels" and you fully comprehend it.

Maybe when you did it upside down you REALLY couldn't get your conscious mind involved. Maybe when you did it right side up your conscious mind kept seeing words and messing the whole thing up.

I haven't been able to PR novels yet either. I have a theory. I think if you truely WANT to go slow and enjoy it, then you just should. For instance, a friend loaned me the Gene Simmons "KISS and Make-Up" book and I was just going to PR it and give it back. So I PR it and I start skittering and I 'feel' like I'm not doing it right. I'm hitting on highlights of his life and career and stuff but I just had this 'bad' feeling that I couldn't explain. The bad feeling went away when I started to slow read it! I'm like "Hey, this is what I want." It was really weird. Their career started when I was BORN, reading about him is like reading about myself. When Gene talked about something I'd always be like "wow, I was 3 when he did that." I found myself reading extra-slow for some reason, not wanting the book to end.

Photoreading can't be for EVERYTHING.

If it was a book about U2 - I don't like or hate them but I have no interest in ever knowing anything about them- and I had to read it because I was going to interview them or something, you bet your *** I'd just PR it because I certainly don't want to enjoy it, I just want to "divide and conquer" my way thru it.
