I've also found that if I PhotoRead several tightly focused books in the same field, spontaneous activation can occur more easily. For example, I needed to upgrade my knowledge of C++. I PhotoRead three books on the language - two were 500 pages each, the third was over 1,000 pages. I PhotoRead each one three times (started with Prepare and Previewing each book, then PhotoRead each book three times). I let the books incubate for 24 hours and started mind-probing. What was rather wonderful was that the desired information bubbled easily into my awareness. I think that such intense PhotoReading, in books narrowly focused gave several presentations of the same material that was then more readily available to my conscious mind because pre-existing "hooks" in my memory could be more thoroughly utilized. When I went to regular activation techniques (mind mapping, Image Streaming, super reading and dipping) I found that I already knew most of the material I needed and I probably spent no more than 30-45 minutes in manual activation. There is a wonderful synergistic effect that comes about from syntopic reading!
