So tell me, why should simple and obvious mistake as this be pardoned.

Do you honestly believe that the same can be said for book authors who commit such mistake?

The reason why I felt cheated was the lack of production check over the work. After all a book before it gets published passes through at least 3 independent proof readers, then why wasn't it done here?

Certainly a one level proof reader version for the book audio would have caught this mistake from the first hearing of the tapes.

So again, tell me why should simple and obvious mistake as this be pardoned.

Anyhow, I am still in college.

I have to make my ammends, I did overreact.
This is my last posting for this thread but I still want to hear your reply anonymousman.

If you made that mistake, the professor would circle it, yes. But he wouldn't say, "You know, because of this error, I have completely ignored your statements, disregarded your ideas, and furthermore, I have lost all respect for you as an individual."

"You put the wrong date! I can't believe you did that! You've lost all credibility as a doctor."

If you've been to college, I'm sure you can think of science or math professors that use improper english because they're from a different country.

I guess that invalidates their theories, huh?
